4th of July

We had so much fun on the 4th of July! Fireworks are illegal where we live, so we didn't have any, but it's okay because we had beautiful weather and a pool! Alexa, Matthew, and I spent most of our day in the pool! It was very relaxing and Matthew and I got a little color! My dad made pork ribs for dinner with mashed potatoes and corn! It was delicious!!!
Matthew and I didn't realize it until July 5th, but the 4th of July marks the day that we have been together for 9 years!

This was taken right before or just after he had asked me out!
This is where it all began!

4th of July!

For the 4th of July we went to my parent's friend's BBQ. They had snow cones, a huge water slide, candy, and food! We only stayed for a few hours but it was fun! We had to get back home to our dog and to finish homework.

This is Matthew and I on the 4th of July at Grandma and Grandpa Johnson's house 8 years ago! That was the day we started dating. Crazy how different we look now and how far we have come. :)

Alexa's First Easter

Alexa's first Easter was very fun! I got her ready in the morning and because it was cold we put on a long sleeve shirt and pants under her pretty dress.

After I got her ready and fed and in the car, Alexa and I drove to my Aunt's house to spend Easter with my family. Matthew had to work so it wasn't the same without him, but we still enjoyed the day.
It was fun day! Alexa got Easter presents and she went on an Easter egg hunt. She found 2 dollars! Later on she got hungry so Papa Jeff fed her some boo boo. While eating her dinner she experienced her first earthquake! She did very well considering it was a rolling one and not a shaking one. It kinda got me a little dizzy because it felt like I was on a ship.

After she was fed we came home so we could spend the rest of Easter with her daddy. :) We ate dinner and watched Sweet Home Alabama. After that movie we started to watch one of the Jurassic Park movies. I'm not sure which one it was, but I know it wasn't the first one. We watched it until the baby went down for the night because when you have a baby you need every little second of sleep you can possibly get. Especially when she hates her crib and usually only sleeps in mommy's and daddy's bed. :)

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July everyone! Today is going to be a wonderful day. First my husband has the day off on a SATURDAY all because of the 4th! This morning we are meeting at our friends house to follow him up to Lake Arrowhead because his fiance (our friend Lisa) has her fathers house for the weekend. Since we can't stay through tomorrow we decided to go up for a few hours and come back to go to my aunt's block party which we had originally planned for today. I can't wait to start my day! Happy 4th of July!

I'm so excited to spend this day with him! We have been together for 7 years today! Who would have thought 7 years ago when he asked me out with a poem in front of Grandma Johnson's house that we would be here today?! I love him so much!

I Just Had To! :)

Okay! I was looking for pictures to put on my previous entry and I decided not to because they didn't relate to the entry so I thought I'd make this a whatever entry that still relates to Christmas and put whatever pictures up. Hope you like!

This one is scary but I like it! Kayli is funny!

CHRISTMAS time is here!

I can feel that this week and possibly next week is going to be a very exciting week! This week is what I call Christmas week. Everyone is out of school for the Holiday and for the people who work, well they get Wed. and Thurs. off too. I'm going to my parents today because my mom bought us some milk on sat. and I forgot to take it home. Plus I'm going over there to see the dogs, my kitty, and my parents. I can't believe it's been a almost a whole year already. This year really went by super fast for me. I remember celebrating last Christmas like is was yesterday when my family and I were making gingerbread houses and my other family and I were at my grandpas house decorating the tree. 2009 is going to be a great year! Things will be changing, people will be graduating, including ME! Can you say FINALLY!!!!!!! 2008 has been a great year for me and my husband. We moved out into our own place! As much as I hate to see 2008 go, 2009 will bring on more birthdays, and more anniversary's, and maybe some exciting news! Next year will be 7 years that Matthew and I have been dating. I cannot believe it's been so long. I was 16 when we started dating and I will be 23 next April. He was 17 when we met, but 18 when we started dating and he will be 25 in June. People always tell us you're too young to get married and to even start wanting kids, but really when you think about it people usually get married after 2 years of dating and for us it was like 4 years. Then after a few years people want to start having kids, but because we met so early on it just seems like we got married young and want kids early, but really based on our relationship its perfect timing. Sorry I don't mean to complain, but it gets a little annoying, especially when the person who is telling you this has never experienced love before. Anyways, I'm happy for all the great people I have in my life. I'm really lucky! For me Christmas isn't about the gifts, but it's about spending that special holiday with the people you love. Unfortunately half of my family is in Utah, but hopefully we will be making a trip to go up!

LOVE IS....... when a pumpkin melts your heart

Sunday I went to a Pumpkin Patch festival with my family down near Yucaipa. It was really fun and I can't wait to have kids so I can take them there. It had a huge field full of pumpkins that you cut from the vine. I wanted a big pumpkin this year and as you can see I got one and 2 baby pumpkins lol. I forgot my camera lol so I don't have any pictures from the festival, but I took one this morning so you can see how big it is. The festival had 2 petting zoos, pony rides, hay stack ride, quad rides, and 2 bouncers. There were so many kids and babies it really makes me want one! lol After the pumpkin patch we went to the Apple Festival about 20 min down the street. That was really fun also, but we never got to the part to pick apples off a tree. They had a lot of stores and places to eat, so after trying to look for the trees to pick apples off we ate some country BBQ food and we had enough of the whole apple picking thing so we came home. :) Every time I go downstairs I hug my pumpkin lol because it feels so good for some reason. It's exactly my arms length when I wrap around it. I love my pumpkin!
