T♥Ball - Game #2

My little cousin, Jocelynn, just started her T♥Ball so today my parent's, Alexa, and I went to game #2. It was so much fun watching the little kids play T♥Ball. I can't wait to watch Alexa play in sports or other activities that she is interested in. I hope I have a boy, so I can see him play in sports too. My uncle is one of the coaches and Jocelynn's mom is a team mom. I hope that I can be one of those moms that supports the little kids and tells them to run when the batter hits the ball. It was really cute to see them all scramble around for the ball. I would like to try and make it to every game, so I hope the weather stays nice enough for Alexa and I to go. After the game my parent's took Alexa and I to Olvera Street in LA. We always eat in this little hole in the wall place across from the train station. I have been going there every since I was a little girl. After we ate we left and visited my grandparents graves. We cleaned and left a rose at my grandpas grave then we left to go clean and leave roses at my grandma and my great grandmas graves at another cemetery. Thank goodness that that was our last stop because Alexa fell asleep in the car and I grew very tired on the way home.
Some of the pictures are a little grey because I was taking them through the fence.

Santa Ana Zoo

Today Alexa and I met my mother, brother, and nephew at the Santa Ana Zoo. I have only been there about 5 times or less. My brother lives literally right across the street in the apartment community so he goes very often with Rhett. It isn't a big Zoo, but it does have a lot of cool animals. It was a short visit, but it was a lot of fun. We rode on the train and the carousel. Alexa picked the Giraffe to ride on and had a smile on her face every time we came around to my brother because he would say hi to Alexa and Rhett. Alexa and I had a great time.

A bad couple of months

In February I found out I was pregnant. Well it turns out I'm not. It was actually a chemical pregnancy (meaning I had the pregnancy hormone in my system but the pregnancy didn't take) so it was a little upsetting to know that I wasn't anymore. On the bright side, at least I wasn't several weeks along. I realized I wasn't pregnant a couple days after I found out so it wasn't what people usually have like a miscarriage.

Just a week or so ago we found out we were going to buy our first townhouse. It was pretty amazing and we were really excited about it. However, just a few days ago we found out that the program we were on with the mortgage company had a new guideline to follow regarding our loan and payment plan. Because of the new guideline we would have to pay an additional $150 a month making our payments be around $1450 a month. My parents offered to help us out every month by giving us the extra $150, but I told them no. I thanked them and told them I really appreciated the offer, but I didn't want to take money from them and I wanted to do this on our own. I felt in my heart that what's meant to be is what's meant to be.

To be honest I enjoy living at home again. I don't like living out of boxes, but I like having my parent's come home and helping with Alexa. Alexa loves her Grandparents and I love how happy it makes her to see them everyday. Plus Matthew and I are able to get things done at the same time so it's nice to have our own time to do things again.

All and all things were upsetting and rocky, but I'm keeping an open mind and whatever happens happens. Who knows....... maybe the next move isn't to buy a house, maybe it's time for Matthew to get a new job. Either way I'm just very thankful to have the wonderful people in my life that make me smile and laugh when the bad stuff happens. So to everyone that knows me, thank you for everything!

xoxo

Carpe Cakem!

We are in Escrow!

 Our Kitchen

We bought a house in Corona! Well..... townhouse! It has 3 bedrooms, new appliances, granite counter tops, new carpet, and new paint. It's smaller than we were originally shooting for, but when you see a place that is absolutely move-in ready you just can't pass it up. Besides, it's just a starter house. We will move back to the OC in a few years. We will be getting our keys around April 7th so it's the perfect birthday present! I can actually say my husband bought me a house for my birthday! :) We are very excited to move into a place that we can call home. We have only been looking since January, but when bad things keep coming up and when things fall through, you get tired of playing the game of finding a home. We also know the area very well because our first apartment was just right down the street. Included with our new home purchase we get to play tennis, use paddle boats at the lake, play in the pool, and enjoy a little tot lot for Alexa when she decides she wants to start walking. Crazy to think in a matter of 2 weeks this will be ours!

My surprise date!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Since today is a day for green I thought that today would be a perfect day to post what I did on my  exciting date.
About a month ago Matthew sent me a text that said to make sure I have my mother babysit Alexa because he couldn't change the date of our surprise date. I was greatly surprised by it because he never really does things like this. If he ever has an idea of something to do he usually always tells me about it first, so I was very happy and excited for our date night! Tuesday, March 15th finally came and I was wondering what the night had in store. He told me to kinda dress up, so I was very curious as to what we were doing. All I knew was that we were going to Costa Mesa. I didn't know of many things besides South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa so I was very confused. We were finally on our way and the whole time he was saying, "I know you know where we are going." I kept assuring him that I had no clue. He kept asking me if the place was down this street or that street as we were driving by and I was like I have no idea since I don't know where we are going. I'm great with directions and he isn't, so I was a little nervous if we were going to make it to the place we were going on time. It was funny. He finally found the place and it was around the corner from where we were. He said, "I'm sure now you know since there is a banner," but I couldn't see the banner so I still had no idea. We finally turned down the right street and I saw the Performing Arts Center. I had no idea that we had one right down the street from the South Coast Plaza. I was even more excited, since I still had no idea what play we were going to see. We finally parked and as we were walking towards the front of the Performing Arts Center he told me that what we are seeing is on the next directory like stand. I saw a poster of WICKED! I was flabbergasted! I have been wanting to see Wicked for a few years now and that night was finally THE NIGHT. The play was amazing! I had such a great time and the play had fantastic actors/singers! Their performance was remarkable! We were surprised that the play had a lot of humor. We were laughing a lot! It was a great night and I'm very thankful to have such a wonderful husband!
Depending on our situation we may go and see West Side Story in September. I still want to see Beauty and the Beast, Phantom of the Opera, and they really need to put together The Newsies.
