2009 Graduation

Sitting in the chair waiting to graduate I was thinking what am I going to do with the rest of my life? I thought what's next for me? Work? More school? While sitting there I knew I wasn't as proud of myself as I wanted to be and that I wanted to do something great. This morning I woke up and realized that maybe school would be best for me. I know I'm not ready to start working because I don't want a job I want a career! I want to achieve great things in life so that I can finally say I am proud of myself! I want to show my kids the great things in life. Education is the key to the door that opens up a whole new world to anything you set for yourself. I'm really not that great in school, but to be honest I have always just gotten by because I never cared to study. In the very few classes that I really studied and worked hard, I got an A! I'm not saying that now I want all straight A's but now I want to be the best I can be in every situation. 5 years later since my high school graduation, I finally accomplished something in my life and I don't want to end there. I want my Bachelors and Master's and a family all in one. I know it's not going to be easy but I also know that I have my families support and help if ever I need it. Thanks to my family for pushing me to get an education I'm one step higher in life. I'm not saying I'm smarter than everyone cause it took me 5 years so really I have forgotten most of what I learned, but I thank my family and greatly appreciate everything they have done for me. My achievements are not over yet so I'm going to end this here so I don't repeat myself in the years to come. :) Thanks to everyone! I love you!

Class of 2009!

I'm graduating today from SCC and I'm super excited! It has taken me a little longer than I'd like but the day is finally here! I have no idea if I want to continue with school at this moment. I know I'd like too, but I'm not sure as to what exactly I would study. I'd like to go to Baking and Pastry school, so I may do that or I may just work to save up some money and start a family. I don't know what's in the near future, but I'm very happy with what I have accomplished so far!

Go out with a BANG!

December 11, 2008 is going in my book of One of the Best Day's Ever! To start the day off, it was my daddy's 47th Birthday. Yes, I still call him daddy. We didn't celebrate it yesterday because I had my last final last night, so we celebrated it on Wednesday night. It was a lot of fun. Every year around Christmas my dad goes all out and decorates his game room. There are Christmas lights, Santa Clause's, and fake snow everywhere! I will take pictures today. Matthew and I helped decorate the tree on Monday but by wed. he did a lot. Anyways, we had a party for him and his friends came over and most of my family came over. We ordered some mexican food and when we found out more people were coming the Birthday Boy had to make more taquitos, but it's ok cause he loves to cook. When parties are at his house he is a terrific host! He makes sure everyone is comfortable, he offers a drink or appetizers or anything. My Gram taught him well! For his Birthday I got him a Harley Davidson shirt cause you can never go wrong with anything HD. It said Sheriff on the front with an Eagle and since my brudder is a sheriff I thought he would like to wear it. I'm getting my brudder one for his 26th birthday next year. eBay has great things! He also got a John Wayne picture frame and a big picture of John Wayne on a horse, that is another thing you can never go wrong with he loves "The Duke." It was a good Birthday! Now, not only did the title of this blog mean to go out with a Bang for my father's birthday, but as I said before last night was my last final night and I got an A in the class! I took 5 classes this semester, PowerPoint 190 and 191, Art, Desktop Publisher, and Dreamweaver with Flash. My grades have never been better A,A,B,A,A and this was my last full semester of school. Technically I graduated this semester because you can graduate 6 units shy from 60 but I'm still 3 units shy, so I'm taking Anthropology next semester and walking next June for my AA. Finally I'm done with school! Well, for now anyways. If I ever did decide to go back it would be an Art school for Media design. Now I can read the last 2 books of the Twilight Series and relax relax relax. Next week Matthew gets Mon. Tues Wed. off so we are going to go see Twilight and maybe Step Brother cause it looks really funny. My brudder said he really liked it. I love my brudder! Even though we are different in some ways it's still the perfect brother sister relationship I could have ever hoped for. Not to mention that now that I have moved out of my parents house, my relationship with my mother is so much better and I mean like 360 degree turn around. It's funny cause between my parents and I we say I love you more than we ever did. I can't wait for the New year and what it will bring to my life. It better not be death cause I've had a lot in the past 10 years. I'm hoping for a niece or nephew or being so lucky to have one of my own. Now that I've moved out and will be graduating college, those are 2 goals that can and will be checked off. Recital Graphic

My Photoshop class got canceled and I decided to keep the book so I can teach myself how to create graphics. This is my first one I did from scratch. It's not impressive and it's just a copy out of the book to help me learn, but hopefully soon I will be able to create my own graphics and get better. I really like Photoshop! It's so crazy how many different tools you can use to create so many things.

Microsoft Office 2007

Ashley just downloaded the new Microsoft Office 2007 version this morning. It's a free trial for 60 days. So far, it looks pretty cool, and very new and inviting.

In Photoshop class

Ok so last night I went to my Dreamweaver with Flash class and it looks like it's going to be really fun. I can't wait to start on my final project. I get to create a website with cool effects. My teacher seems really cool and the 3 hours went by really fast. Right now I'm in my Photoshop class and my teacher said just go ahead and play on the computer till everyone gets here. She seems really cool also. I'm really excited to learn photoshop and apply it to my website that I'm going to make in my other class. The best thing about making my website is that I can do whatever I want! I think I might make it look like a photography website like Johnson Photography and put my wedding pictures up so it will look professional. I don't know it's just a thought. I still have plenty of time to choose what I want my site to be about. I'm a hands on learner and when I wanted to make a dvd for my parents wedding anniversary I had to learn a new software in 2 weeks and it was very time consuming but I did it and it turned out really good for what I had to work with. I'm sure these classes are going to be easy because I'm a very creative person and I pay very close to detail when it come to this stuff. Happy Friday!

2nd School Day

Ashley wants to join my art class in the mornings. I said, "great!" The unfortunate part is that Ashley did not decide to join until after my first meeting. We will have to see this morning if she will be able to get her foot in the door. I think that we'll be alright, but you just never know. I'm hungry. Let me eat now!

First Day of School & Matthew :)

Is it to early to say I'm over it! haha just kidding! Well, not really, but it could be worse. I'm taking Human Sexuality, Kickboxing, Powerpoint, Dreamweaver with Flash, and Adobe Photoshop. It's going to be an interesting semester. I love Powerpoint and I can't wait to learn Dreamweaver and Photoshop. I'm going to try to get into Art and drop Human Sexuality because this morning I really missed my husband and I suddenly had an epiphany to drop my class and get into his. We do everything together, and 2 heads are better than one. To be honest, I get better grades when we take the same classes. He really pushes me to be a better student, which is one of the many reasons why I love him so much. :) Not saying I do horrible without him by my side, but he makes everything more fun because he is just so great. He is at school right now and I miss him. I don't know what I'd do without my Matthew. It's funny cause ever since I was about 8 or so I always had a queen size bed. I always slept in the middle because of monsters of course, and I thought it would be a really big deal when I got married because I would have to sleep on the side. Turns out, I still get to sleep in the middle. :) Half of my bed is against the wall and he sleeps on that side and he gives me all the space I need. I really feel bad, so I try to sleep as far as I can on the side of the bed but not to far that something can pull my leg down. I know I probably sound stupid but I've seen scary movies and I know what could happen. We get scared. We always talk about an old white haired lady. haha. We freak ourselves out. Anyways, as much as I really like sleeping in the middle, the few nights that we have spent apart, I realized that I'd rather sleep on the side of the bed than sleep alone. I guess that's love. I love him enough to sleep on the side with the monsters. :)
