Things to come!

So it seems like I've only been blogging about my kids lately. I guess when you become a parent, your life is all about your kids and you kinda forget about everything else that's going on. Well here is some news about the family. I'm really excited for the next couple of months!

This weekend we are spending Mother's Day in Palm Springs! Then 2 weeks later we are flying, YES FLYING, to Utah for a week! I have not yet had the experience of taking children on a plane, so I'm kind of nervous but excited at the same time. Mason is a GREAT baby so I'm sure he will be perfect. I'm a little worried about Alexa since she now understands a lot more and she may get scared when we are taking off and landing. Lately she has been watching movies on an iPad and computers so we bought her cute kid headphones. She loves headphones! At first she was using mine that are little and go in your ear, but after she kept taking the rubber part off that makes it comfortable for your ear, I immediately thought she needed her own before she loses those little pieces. Plus since she holds the little ones to her ear the whole time she watches things I thought it would be better if she could actually wear the headphones that are like a headband.

They came with stickers so you could personalize it. She loves them. We are going to take her headphones on the plane so she can watch a cartoon or something and hopefully it will take her mind off the flight. Thank goodness it's not a long flight.

After we come back, the following weekend is a birthday weekend! On Saturday June 9th it's Matthew's 28th birthday, and on Sunday June 10th it's my brother's 29th birthday! Then a week later it's our 5 year anniversary and I'm taking Matthew on a special secret vacation for a couple of days while my parent's watch the babies! I'm so excited for this trip because Matthew has no idea what we are doing or where we are going and he won't find out until we are actually starting to drive to our destination. While we are at the secret location I have a few new experiences planned. Matthew and I are really into trying new things, so it's going to be a great experience for us! We both agreed that from now on we will switch off taking control of what we do on our anniversary and the other person does absolutely nothing, not even a card. This way we can spend the money on one big thing that we both will enjoy and the other person can feel the love that year. Since I had a brilliant plan I decided to take charge of what we do this year. Sorry, only my parent's know what we are doing so everyone else will have to wait until we come back from our trip! :) It's TOP SECRET!

T♥Ball - Game #2

My little cousin, Jocelynn, just started her T♥Ball so today my parent's, Alexa, and I went to game #2. It was so much fun watching the little kids play T♥Ball. I can't wait to watch Alexa play in sports or other activities that she is interested in. I hope I have a boy, so I can see him play in sports too. My uncle is one of the coaches and Jocelynn's mom is a team mom. I hope that I can be one of those moms that supports the little kids and tells them to run when the batter hits the ball. It was really cute to see them all scramble around for the ball. I would like to try and make it to every game, so I hope the weather stays nice enough for Alexa and I to go. After the game my parent's took Alexa and I to Olvera Street in LA. We always eat in this little hole in the wall place across from the train station. I have been going there every since I was a little girl. After we ate we left and visited my grandparents graves. We cleaned and left a rose at my grandpas grave then we left to go clean and leave roses at my grandma and my great grandmas graves at another cemetery. Thank goodness that that was our last stop because Alexa fell asleep in the car and I grew very tired on the way home.

Santa Ana Zoo

Today Alexa and I met my mother, brother, and nephew at the Santa Ana Zoo. I have only been there about 5 times or less. My brother lives literally right across the street in the apartment community so he goes very often with Rhett. It isn't a big Zoo, but it does have a lot of cool animals. It was a short visit, but it was a lot of fun. We rode on the train and the carousel. Alexa picked the Giraffe to ride on and had a smile on her face every time we came around to my brother because he would say hi to Alexa and Rhett. Alexa and I had a great time.

Family Movie Night

Tonight is going to be a fun night! Gabe and Holly are coming over and we are all going to meet Chris and Heather at the Edwards Movie Theater right down the street to see NEW MOON! All of us can't wait to see it and its FREE! Matthew and I always get movie tickets for our birthdays and over the years we have saved about 30 movie tickets so we thought why not and invite Gabe, Holly, Chris and Heather for a night at the movies. Our showing is at 7:30 and I can't wait! Well got to go cause Holly and Gabe just got here! :)

So we just got home and I really loved this movie! It was way better than the first! I can't wait for Eclipse!

Rhett Jeffrey Grumbles

Isn't he cute! He weighs 7 lbs and 11 oz. and he is 20.5 inches long. He is so cute! We have such a good looking nephew!

Precious Nephew!

On the drive home from having lunch with my husband my brother called and told me that I'm having a NEPHEW! He is due October 31st and he is healthy as can be! I love babies and I can't wait to be Auntie Ashley! Congrats Aron & Ashley I love you both so much! :)

Aunt & Uncle?

Yesterday I found out that Matthew and I are going to be an Aunt and Uncle! Last March my brother and sister-in-law miscarried and now they are pregnant again! Hopefully everything goes according to plan and it's a healthy baby boy or girl. I'm so excited! :)

CHRISTMAS time is here!

I can feel that this week and possibly next week is going to be a very exciting week! This week is what I call Christmas week. Everyone is out of school for the Holiday and for the people who work, well they get Wed. and Thurs. off too. I'm going to my parents today because my mom bought us some milk on sat. and I forgot to take it home. Plus I'm going over there to see the dogs, my kitty, and my parents. I can't believe it's been a almost a whole year already. This year really went by super fast for me. I remember celebrating last Christmas like is was yesterday when my family and I were making gingerbread houses and my other family and I were at my grandpas house decorating the tree. 2009 is going to be a great year! Things will be changing, people will be graduating, including ME! Can you say FINALLY!!!!!!! 2008 has been a great year for me and my husband. We moved out into our own place! As much as I hate to see 2008 go, 2009 will bring on more birthdays, and more anniversary's, and maybe some exciting news! Next year will be 7 years that Matthew and I have been dating. I cannot believe it's been so long. I was 16 when we started dating and I will be 23 next April. He was 17 when we met, but 18 when we started dating and he will be 25 in June. People always tell us you're too young to get married and to even start wanting kids, but really when you think about it people usually get married after 2 years of dating and for us it was like 4 years. Then after a few years people want to start having kids, but because we met so early on it just seems like we got married young and want kids early, but really based on our relationship its perfect timing. Sorry I don't mean to complain, but it gets a little annoying, especially when the person who is telling you this has never experienced love before. Anyways, I'm happy for all the great people I have in my life. I'm really lucky! For me Christmas isn't about the gifts, but it's about spending that special holiday with the people you love. Unfortunately half of my family is in Utah, but hopefully we will be making a trip to go up!

Go out with a BANG!

December 11, 2008 is going in my book of One of the Best Day's Ever! To start the day off, it was my daddy's 47th Birthday. Yes, I still call him daddy. We didn't celebrate it yesterday because I had my last final last night, so we celebrated it on Wednesday night. It was a lot of fun. Every year around Christmas my dad goes all out and decorates his game room. There are Christmas lights, Santa Clause's, and fake snow everywhere! I will take pictures today. Matthew and I helped decorate the tree on Monday but by wed. he did a lot. Anyways, we had a party for him and his friends came over and most of my family came over. We ordered some mexican food and when we found out more people were coming the Birthday Boy had to make more taquitos, but it's ok cause he loves to cook. When parties are at his house he is a terrific host! He makes sure everyone is comfortable, he offers a drink or appetizers or anything. My Gram taught him well! For his Birthday I got him a Harley Davidson shirt cause you can never go wrong with anything HD. It said Sheriff on the front with an Eagle and since my brudder is a sheriff I thought he would like to wear it. I'm getting my brudder one for his 26th birthday next year. eBay has great things! He also got a John Wayne picture frame and a big picture of John Wayne on a horse, that is another thing you can never go wrong with he loves "The Duke." It was a good Birthday! Now, not only did the title of this blog mean to go out with a Bang for my father's birthday, but as I said before last night was my last final night and I got an A in the class! I took 5 classes this semester, PowerPoint 190 and 191, Art, Desktop Publisher, and Dreamweaver with Flash. My grades have never been better A,A,B,A,A and this was my last full semester of school. Technically I graduated this semester because you can graduate 6 units shy from 60 but I'm still 3 units shy, so I'm taking Anthropology next semester and walking next June for my AA. Finally I'm done with school! Well, for now anyways. If I ever did decide to go back it would be an Art school for Media design. Now I can read the last 2 books of the Twilight Series and relax relax relax. Next week Matthew gets Mon. Tues Wed. off so we are going to go see Twilight and maybe Step Brother cause it looks really funny. My brudder said he really liked it. I love my brudder! Even though we are different in some ways it's still the perfect brother sister relationship I could have ever hoped for. Not to mention that now that I have moved out of my parents house, my relationship with my mother is so much better and I mean like 360 degree turn around. It's funny cause between my parents and I we say I love you more than we ever did. I can't wait for the New year and what it will bring to my life. It better not be death cause I've had a lot in the past 10 years. I'm hoping for a niece or nephew or being so lucky to have one of my own. Now that I've moved out and will be graduating college, those are 2 goals that can and will be checked off. Sorry for writing so much but I guess it's been a while since a real post so I had a lot to say. :) Till next time, Happy Holidays!

Things I Did and Things To Do

It's been a while since I have written anything but now I finally have some downtime to write about what's been going on in my life. First off we moved out to Corona! :) So far the apartment looks great and I can't wait for the Johnson family to see it. I will be taking pictures this week and posting them up. The only things we don't have yet it our dining table and our mirror that will go in the dining room. Speaking of my table and mirror this last Saturday my parents and I went to the Swap meet. I drove down from my apartment which is about 20 min away from my house and got into my parents car and left for the Swap Meet. The main reason to go was to see how cheap the dining tables were so Matt and I could finish furnishing our new beautiful place. I saw the perfect table and my parents were nice enough to buy it for us as a house warming gift. After that purchase my mother said I needed some kind of mirror to put behind the table and that she would get that for us also. I told her that was ok and she didn't need to buy our table and a mirror for us but she insisted. It was kinda funny cause when I was looking for a mirror I was looking at the one I wanted and then I turned my head and saw a kid in one of those wooden wagons that you can rent at the swap meet, and then I looked back at my mirror and then it hit me! That little boy was ERIK, Matt's cousin haha. I looked around and saw Alma and gave her a hug and she said she was looking at the same mirror I was for her bathroom. I said Hi to Eric and as always he had his finger in his mouth and smiled he looked so cute! What are the odds I'd see the two of them. On the way back we ate at the TMP and had Pick Up Stix it was so good. Matthew doesn't really care for Chinese food so when I get a chance I eat it. As we were driving back to my parents house up Jamboree we saw a lot of smoke from the fires. We got home and everything was ok but no sooner than I walked through the front door Matthew called and said right behind his apartment complex he works for is on fire and that he was on his way over to my parents cause everyone was evacuating. I don't remember much cause I was just happy he was ok. As we were waiting for him we turned on the news and the fires were going crazy. It started in Corona, and moved down to Yorba Linda and Anaheim Hills area. Of coarse we move a week ago to Corona and now there's a fire. Our community was ok. It was not close to the fires, but we stayed at my parents house sat night due to the closed freeways and then we stayed Sunday night cause we weren't sure how traffic was going to be trying to get to school today. Anyways, Matthew got back ok and he smelt worse than a fire pit. On the news they were closing the 241, 91, 57, and 60 freeways. About 10-20 minutes after Matthew got back his complex was on fire! It was crazy! It burned about 50-60 apartments. We felt so bad. Sunday Matt got called in to help those people who lived at the community and when he told those people whose apartment burned come would cry and some got really angry. For those that didn't burn down most were green tagged so they were able to stay last night. Now it's Monday and although I'm sad for those without homes, I'm happy for what I have and will be getting in the next few days. It's kinda funny this all happened around Thanksgiving. It's the Holiday to be thankful for something. I'm thankful for my wonderful Husband and our families that we get to see and create wonderful memories with. :)
