Alexa is going to be a BIG sister!

I just found out yesterday that I'M PREGNANT!!! :) I actually kinda knew on Valentines Day because I had a symptom or two, but I took a test yesterday and it was for sure! Yesterday I was trying to think of a way to tell my parents so I went to Carter's and bought Alexa this shirt. I put it on her last night and I waited for my parent's to figure it out. My mother was on the phone and my dad was making dinner, so I held Alexa next to my dad and stood there for about 10 minutes until he looked at her shirt and had a confusing look on his face. He was like what?! Then he had a huge smile! After my mother got off the phone, I wanted her to hold Alexa so she did and she changed her diaper. I thought for sure she would see the shirt when Alexa was getting changed, but no! Matthew, my dad, and I had to ask her who got Alexa the shirt and drop more hints until she read it. It was fun telling my parent's. Then our friends Heather and Chris came over to see us with Cade, who is super adorable and getting so big now, and they brought Alexa a fantastic TGI Friday's gift card since before we had the babies we would go and get brownie obsession's together. It was actually mainly for Matthew and Chris, but Heather and I would take some bites with our husbands giving us that you better not eat more face. Since she is a good mommy she also bought Alexa a toothbrush to brush away the brownie haha. It was a great day! I pray this pregnancy is as healthy as my first, and I can't wait to meet the little guy/girl!

So far, today has been a great day! It's very cold and rainy outside, but I'm smiling like crazy! Alexa woke up in a great mood and she is the best daughter I could have! I love her so much and every time I think of her or hear her name, I smile. She makes me laugh until I cry and when she giggles it is the most precious sound ever! She talks to me all the time and I just love it! I had no idea that this much love could exist. I mean, I love my husband to death, but it's a different kind of love. Alexa is everything to me, and even though I like my time to do things I can't wait for her to wake up from her naps. She is starting to say dogie and tit tat for kitty cat, or she says titty haha it's so cute! I know this post is just about how much I love Alexa, but I'm a mom, I can't help it.

Alexa's Birthday Party 2.12.11

It seems like only yesterday I had my daughter, and it's funny because as I'm writing this it actually was yesterday that I had her but it was a year ago. Her actual birthday is February 13th, so since it fell on a Sunday we had her party the day before. I can't believe how fast the year has gone. Alexa is 1 now and she the best daughter ever! Her party on Saturday was awesome! I made her cupcakes, a happy birthday sign, minnie mouse heads for centerpieces, the cotton candy holders, and with everything said and done her Minnie Mouse party was exactly what I envisioned. My parents opened their home to all of our guests and it really was a great party. My dad rented a bouncer and all of the other kids had a ball jumping around. I'm very thankful to have so many wonderful people in my life and it was so nice to see how many people love Alexa. Everything was perfect!.

Since we had such a busy weekend Alexa and I are going to wait for Matthew to get home from work and spend our Valentine's Day night at home opening up Alexa's gifts together!
