9 Months!

I know this is really late and pretty soon he will be 10 months old, but things have been so busy that when I have kid-free time I have other things that need to get done.

I took Mason to his 9 month check-up and he did so well. He didn't cry when he got his shots and he is growing so much.
He is now 22 lbs.
He is in the 75th % for height
He is in the 80th % for weight
He knows how to clap
He knows how to wave
He can stand all by himself
He likes to tackle Alexa
He likes to paint
He likes Basketball
He is now branching out from baby food to big kid food and his favorite is Mac N' Cheese
He loves drinking water out of his big kid cups
He still wears size 3 diapers
He fits in 12-18 month clothes already, mainly shirts. Pants are still a little long for him
He enjoys watching movies in the car
He is very ticklish
He has his two bottom teeth plus two teeth on top
He takes 2 naps a day and his bed time is 8 p.m.
He likes to push his Hot Wheel cars on the wood floor
He is already almost 10 months old and I'm already starting to plan his 1st birthday!

Laguna Beach 2012

Matthew and I have always loved Laguna Beach growing up. We have both grown up watching the same things, liking the same things, and loving the same things and I think that is why we are so much alike. We have been on many dates in Laguna Beach and our engagement pictures were taken there. Another great memory was when we went there and Matthew gave me a handmade wooden jewelry box he made in wood shop for Valentine's Day. We have shared many great memories there before marriage and now after and now we get to make many more with our kids!

Matthew has been coming to his grandparent's timeshares ever since he was little. It was one of his favorite past times and he had many great memories with his family at Laguna Shores in Laguna Beach. Since being with Matthew, we have often visited his grandparent's when they stayed at their timeshares. Every time we went to visit he would remember new things to tell me of the things he and his family did. After we got married, Grandma and Grandpa Johnson were not able to make it down and offered us their timeshare for the week. It was nice to get away and we had so much fun! Matthew and I had a blast playing guitar hero and walking around Laguna Beach. We were hooked after that and he mentioned to his grandma that if she ever didn't want her timeshares anymore that we would take them off her hands. This was the year it happened and we are so grateful and happy to own them. We had so much fun this year! Knowing that now we can come here every year gives us the greatest feeling plus a great vacation every year. We could always trade them for other timeshares in a different location but for right now, Laguna Beach is amazing!

 My aunt's birthday was last month and my moms was Sept 8th. My dad gave them both cards with a fake ticket that I made that was for a Rascal Flatt concert Friday, Sept. 14th. They were so surprised and they had a blast at the concert!

8 months!

Mason is another month older and he is surely getting around!

Mason can pull himself up on EVERYTHING
He giggles more and more each day, very ticklish on his tummy
He now eats fruit puffs, cheese puffs, yogurt bites, cheerios, and tries to go after what everyone else is eating
He runs in his walker
He reaches for the person he wants to go with
He moans until he gets what he wants
He still doesn't like his carseat
He enjoys watching sing-alongs or any music that is on TV
He likes to sit in his highchair and munch on the straps that hold him in
He can crawl perfectly on hands and knees
He is getting into EVERYTHING

Alexa's first haircut

I've been waiting for Alexa's hair to grow out before her first haircut. Matthew and I finally felt that it was time and since my brother told me about where he has taken Rhett we decided to go to that kiddie place for her haircut. We made an appointment for Sunday and to be honest I think Matthew and I were more excited/nervous than Alexa. Alexa loves getting beautified but since it was her first time, as parent's, so many things go through your mind. Is she going to like it? Is she going to be good? Be fussy? Our general thoughts were that she was going to be good, but you just never know with kids. Their moods change constantly and you can only hope for the best in a given situation. Well I'm here to say that Alexa was FANTASTIC! She did so good and since they had kiddie cars to sit in for their haircut, she was ready to jump right into the Barbie Jeep as soon as we got there. They had packages of different things to go with a haircut and we picked the one that gave us a first haircut certificate with her hair and picture, and Alexa even got a mini manicure with her haircut. SHE LOVES MANICURES!!! I can't wait to take her on dates to get our nails done!
